Exhibition presented at the Niépce Museum from June 19 to September 12 1999
Jean LE GAC produced his First Adventure Novel in 1972, wanting to respect the short phrases and the captions taken from illustrations in his books for children, and he has always had a desire to follow this up. These pastel copies of images from his childrens’ books were for many years the continuation of this by photographic means.
With all his gear, his photographic chamber, his tele-objective lens dating from the last war, his ‘photo-bus’, a motorbike and side-car and the team from the Niépce Museum, he undertook to say a last goodbye to his imagination.
The Niépce Museum presented this collection of hitherto unpublished works by Jean Le Gac, produced during 1999, in Chalon-sur-Saône and its immediate surroundings, exclusively.
